The role of mobile phone SMS solutions in promoting agribusiness among small-scale farmers in rural Zambia. A case of Northern Province
Lack of access to reliable and up-to-date market price information is a serious problem for smallholder farmers in Zambia. Yet mobile phones offer a solution. In so doing, the service is promoting agribusiness in the country and improving the socio-economic welfare of small-scale farmers, especially those in rural areas.
